cant say i'm very familiar with the paris hilton situation, but its nice to know money cant always prevent a conviction. as to our previous conversation, i'll refer you to confucius

"The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved. " Confucius
Chinese philosopher & reformer (551 BC - 479 BC) the question is not "will danger come" but "will it come to my house" and thus "what will i do if it does" or "how can i prevent it." a matter in which to apply wisdom first and faith second, giving substance to your faith.

i could have also referred you to the revolutionary war, or even the guy right here in chicago who shot a man robbing his house one night. it only made the news because the robber sued and won. not only that, the man was also charged with illegal possesion of a handgun (with few exceptions handguns are illegal to posses in chicago.) the mans reaction? "it was worth it, my family is alive"
