It is COLD
Ok, they say it is 14 degrees. I will wear long johns under my jeans and zip the down vest lining thingy into my jacket.
Shit. I hate going back. My first day back at work after the holidays... They say it is going to go up to 50 degrees in a few days. I hate that.I had a real productive first and second day of 2008. On Day 1 I wrote an essay, cooked a perfect cheese omelet, and cooked perfect pork chops for dinner.
I also ate Black Eyed Peas for luck as a tradition that my Mother would always do.It is good to start on a positive tone.
How's your year going so far?
I usually don't go for cartoons but this movie was kind of interesting to me, it is about a machine that can record people's dreams and it is quite a fantastical cartoon...
It isn't a recommendation, unless you are into this stuff, then it is great. I'm sure it would have been better on the big screen and on mushrooms or something....
But I don't do stuff like that anymore...

Dear Orlando,
I love it when I get news from one or more of the many blogs I read. Today, thanks to you, I've just received the news that Satoshi Kon's "Paprika" is available on DVD. I already have "Perfect Blue", "Millennium Actress", and "Tokyo Godfathers" in my collection. "Paprika" is his latest, and will complete the collection.
When I read blogs about how cold it is I love to write that I'm driving my convertible with the top down these days. But then that's why I'll never leave Southern California.
My first meal of the year always has to be a good one. I had lunch at Mimi's Restaurant of the 1st, with a "Salmon Medly on Ratatouille pasta". Gotta love those French. I had a corn chowder to start and drank champagne with the meal.
Glad you're New Year is going great so far.

johns under jeans? why don't all our garments have, like hurricanes, gendered-names?!
At least you got an extra day off – some of us had to go to work yesterday! I hate the roller coaster temps too – and the mud that goes with them! Peace, Al
Happy New Year.
The secret to keeping yourself OK mentally is to set yourself small targets/things to do each day. That way you don't overdo and get overwhelmed. Keep it manageable. xx
don;t know how you cope with cold. may your year continue on the perfect fooding, at least foodwise!
and as for me personally, as well as our eternal perfect spring weather, i've got another week of holidays ~ nyah nyah nyah!

Screaming wards evil spirits away too. . .
I wonder if my kids have seen this film. They enjoy this stuff AND do mushrooms. Perfecto.
