  • Bad Dream! What Can It Mean????

Any Jungians or Freudians or otherwise Dream Interpreters out there?

It was LONG,  but I only remember the end of it.  Very odd,  guys were playing hockey on this big ice and snow covered ramp,   like one they put up at the Olympics for the ski jumps.  The hockey guys would skate up and down the slope and with their hockey sticks,  whack these huge shapes coming down at them.  I only remember the end of this dream.  The shapes were like huge wedges of cheese a couple feet long / wide,  some seemed to have holes on top in the middle with things sticking out, like people's limbs,  hard to remember.   I know it went on for a long time but the only one I remember clearly was at the end,  that one triangular shaped wedge came sliding down with a baby underneath and the baby's head sticking up through the hole.

I was watching this game from above looking down, like I was hanging upside down suspended in air. This didn't seem odd or uncomfortable.    One of the hockey players went to whack the shape but first he took his hockey stick and lopped off the baby's head, then whacked the shape.   I turned to someone who was with me, I don't know who,  and said "he just lopped off the baby's head"...

Then I woke up with a sick feeling in my stomach.

I can't imagine what this dream is about,  and,  having not remembered a dream in literally months,  why now and why this???

I welcome any and all thougths and interpretations.

  • i think you may have put too much garlic in the spaghetti sauce.

  • a bad burrito?  peace, Al

  • well it looks like a medically based hallucination. the cheese blocks are giant pills that save people [limbs] the slopes and ice show the thrownness of being sick and the struggle of staying healthy....the brutality of hockey shows the blood and anger that being medicalized can create in oneself.

or maybe you had a bad taco?

  • Maybe it was a PREMONITION of the Green Bay Giants game

  • Wow.  Talk it out loud or write it down and see what happens.  Sometimes you see the metaphors on paper in black and white and it makes you understand.  I couldn't begin to unravel that one unless I knew what hockey, cheese, babies, mean to you and you alone.

  • Maybe, you subconscious is trying to tell you something? Things are happening in your life, or possibly in life in general, (e.g. terrorism, maybe manslaughter, things of that nature.) that upset you, but you mainly keep it yourself, vent occasionaly out loud while watching the news but other than that, it's just on your mind? And these things are happening, and just keep adding on, and the people get away with it so easily (hence the skating on slick ice), and you feel you can't do anything about it, like your just stuck there, in nothingness, waiting for it to end? But it's not ending (you're suspended upside down in the air). You know it's happening but you feel nothings being done to stop it. And it's coming to you all at once, in sudden realization, of how sick it makes you feel (why you just now remember it). Maybe it's not something huge like death, maybe something smaller, at work? Idk. Thought I'd give it a try. :)
