  • A Very Nice Hat

I have a hat that I wore to keep the sun off of my bald haid while going to a street fair.

On the bus, on the way back home, I overheard a man (also a hat wearer) say to another man; "...and so and so was telling me that no one wears really nice hats anymore.  You see it just isn't true."

my heart swelled up like a pregnant sow.

I was complemented on my topper before and it's from the Gap.

I was stunned to pay like $28.00 for it,  I don't often buy hats and usually have a baseball cap or a floppy hat or knit cap for winter...

I couldn't let this chapeau go unbought.  This was the hat of all hats,  the epitome of just a plain old but classic looking nice hat which serves its function well with no frills nor unwanted attention grabbing attributes, other than its sheer classic hatfulness.

It is a hat among hats.  A hat I should have bought 2 of.
I must hang on to this hat.

This is a nice looking hat.

I plan to visit Ells Island,  The Museum of the American Indian,  Coney Island, The Lower East Side Tenement Museum,  The Merchant House Museum and some others next week.
I'm tempted to rent a bike on Governor's Island on the weekend.
I will proudly don this topper and shield myself from harmful rays while maintaining appropriate fashion standards.

It's not often I'm proud of something, and when I am,  it usually isn't something as simple as a hat.  It's a straw looking hat with a band,  I chose the light one.  It's just a classic looking 1940's type of hat, to me anyhow, but it is a weapon against the sun as far as I am concerned.

But gosh,  somewhere inside I still feel like Lucy after a day at Gimbals...

    //

    I'm hat satisfied.

     How hat are you?

    or do hat at all?
    .
I believe the hat will make a stunning comeback in the world of men's fashion,  especially with the hole in the ozone burning down upon our defenseless outer membraine,  our largest organ and first line of defense, the skin,  and we should protect it,  by cracky.

or a comming stunback,  that almost sounds nasty.

  • Lucy was addicted to buying hats, there was an episode about it. I never go out without a hat.
