  • Barometer Head

It sounds like an old wives' tale,  but it is really true.   I am a human barometer.   I am stopping by to blog this on the way from the bed to the bathroom and back,  thinking I was going to vomit.  I just had some cottage cheese to soften my second dose of aspirin.   I was up at 6 and realized I couldn't stay up.

I took a big shit and thought that would make me feel better.    It did a bit but really the migraine headache,  or at least that is what I call it,  although I am not sure if it is technically one or not,  I know for a fact that I am affected by weather and I get awful headaches when a storm is approaching.

It is a perfect day and I was all set to go rent a bicycle in Central Park but I cannot shake this headache.

I went back to bed several times already.  I slept from 10 to noon after listening to an Andrew Weil tape and slipping into a blissful slumber...

Now I am hungry which is a good sign.  I just had something light and am going to take a nice shower and lay back down....

I am a human barometer.... I need to research this to see how really true it is.... I have known it all my life but I actually have never looked at evidence to see what it is about storms that make people have headaches  so I don't even know if it is true or not...

It just seems to be my history, when ever there is a big storm coming,  I often get a bad headache before....

  • Our bodies are sensitive to the changes around us, particularly weather. If we would only listen. I hate headaches. Poor you.
