  • I Beat VERIZON!!!!

I had a terrible time dealing with VERIZON with the land line phone service AND the internet service.

First,  they outsource all of their techs, so everyone you speak to is in some third world country.

Secondly,  they have their head up their asses,  their phone service and their internet service are all convoluted and and mixed together, yet one cannot help with the other and they are like two separate companies.

The website is AWFUL and the CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS if you can REACH THEM ON THE PHONE!

I spent hours on the phone,  literally trying to resolve problems and then to cancel service. I could NOT GET THROUGH!..

What I had to do was something called PORTING my land line to a SIM CARD with TMobile, which was quick and easy,  then I just got Time Warner Internet access and closed my CREDIT CARD with Verizon so they have no way to bill me!

This was hell, however I came out ahead and BEAT them....

I just got a CHECK IN THE MAIL for $30.00 from Verizon which I assume is a refund, although I don't know for what.

They confirmed that my LAND LINE was CANCELED on SEPTEMBER 17,  but guess what, THE LAND LINE STILL WORKS .

I am able to use it and make calls so essentially VERIZON has left me with a FREE LAND LINE!!!  The phone NEVER RINGS,  because the land line goes to the second cell phone,  however I am able to use the phone for out going calls and apparently Verizon is SO SCREWED UP that they DON"T KNOW they are giving me a FREE LAND LINE!!!

The Road Runner is MUCH better than the Verizon DSL..

Time will tell what happens, but I've got a free land line so reduced the previous number to a $5.00 a month for 20 minutes to keep my 212 area code which is hardly EVER used....

I feel like it is my LUCKY DAY.

STUPID STUPID VERIZON!  They are SO BIG, and have SO MANY CUSTOMERS that they apparently can NOT handle it and don't need the MONEY!!!

    Thanks Verizon,  assholes!!!

  • Ballet Tickets

I finally got tickets to see Mathew Bourne's Swan Lake at City Center this Friday... I am so exited.  I wanted to see it the first tour but didn't.  Now it is back.

This is NOT a Gay version of Swan Lake,  the story has been changed for the ALL MALE dance cast.  It is NOT a love story.

(Just to let people rid themselves of some assumed ignorance on their part)

The story is about a Prince raised by a cold and emotionless Queen who is trying to train him to be "Royalty" which means denying emotions and he wants to just be who he is and not act the part of a non-feeling "Royal" type of character... It is just about being human and being who you are, and the experience of the unlimited range of human emotions trying to be contained into an artificial "persona"... from what I understand.

  • The Facebook Dilemma

    .
I have been spending a lot of time on Facebook and have exposed myself to friends, family and coworkers alike all in the same forum.

I did this for some strange reason.   I remembered 2 dreams early on,  which I rarely do; I had shit myself in public and I remembered this dream twice on two consecutive weeks..

I am beginning to think it was at the time I started using Facebook and the dream was an expression of exposure, or kind of like putting it all out there,  a metaphor for my feeling of literally "putting my shit out there"...

I am growing uncomfortable.  I linked the blog to Facebook and,  not that I have anything to hide, I miss the freedom of anonymity greatly.

My only redeeming value is the knowledge that this blog is often way way to boring for people to actually read and nobody really cares, and that who gives a shit about my drama when everyone has their own...

.... but still there is that bit of precaution overhead about everything I may happen to blog now.. precaution about embarrassing myself, about hurting someone's feelings,  about alienating someone, about being misinterpreted, insulting people...

I want to do all these things,  I just want to do it to total strangers and not people I know and love.

    Is that selfish of me?

I have actually connected with many people from my past, including my first friend from Kindergarten and cousins and aunts I haven't seen in over 30 years.  I got a lot of information about where my mother's family came from.  I saw a movie, finally found out the truth, about my aunt who was a child actress and was actually one of Our Gang.

... I feel I've been neglecting Xanga too...  I don't know...   I often want to spew...

that is another thing... I spew a lot on Facebook and it isn't a blog... I can imagine cousins and distant relatives and people from my past in droves unsubscribing to my constant and ridiculous and multi-layered status updates... It took me a couple of weeks to figure out how annoying that may be....  I need twitter I guess...

    I may get twitter....

The internet as a medium of self expression has become an addiction...  short spurts,  every clever thought,  every new word learned...

A plea to VOTE KRISTEN DAVIS FOR GOVERNOR OF NEW YORK...

I'm feeling too fast and discombobulated and something , like I want to sleep for three days.

The rain seems to be here today and along with it emotions...

...i'm glad i shaved yesterday, so I don't have to today.

I can just start blogging here more and tell myself NOW that I won't feel this way LATER...
Start a new blog under an assumed name.
Or stop updating my Facebook Status so often.

Why does life have to be so complicated... I feel lousy today.  I feel deflated, depressed , under the weather, disillusioned and what...  I don't know why...

I am having a bad day....

I guess at this point I can rest in the knowledge that it isn't as bad as it has been at times in the past in my life and at this point is is bound to get better if I just lose myself in work and stop thinking about myself...

bla bla bla.....   God I love you Xanga!.

  • Don't You Just HATE it When...

...you are reminded that you have tickets to a Broadway manatee so you have to stop trying to set up the wireless router,  jump in the shower,  dress, rush down to Times Square for lunch, watch the damned show and then start back at your day when you had totally planned to hook up the router and pay bills and do paper work all day because you thought you were going out for DINNER and PLAY.

    Damn!

I'm burdened with seeing this which I normally would enjoy but I thought it was tonight and was just informed, that, gee, no, we are going this afternoon,  and did I forget?  Well,  why would I assume a play is in the evening on a Saturday night?  Am I just dumb?

I am not waiting around for autographs I don't believe!

  • On Feline Type II Diabetes

    Willow e 10/10/2010

I am an Obligate Carnivore and can NOT digest carbohydrates which are rice, grain or corn of any kind.

My master gave me TYPE II DIABETES by feeding me CAT FOOD WITH RICE< CORN AND GRAINS IN IT.

My master had to spend $3000 on medication and equipment to PREVENT MY DEATH. It could have cost much more to have the vet save me.

PLEASE DON"T FEED ME DRY FOOD OR CAT FOOD WITH ANY TYPE OF RICE< CORN< SOY< OR OTHER FILLER.

I NEED MEAT AND ESPECIALLY PROTEIN!

...If you click directly on the photo it is a link to this photo on the flickr page.

I included this photo AND commentary in a new group by PURINA called "DO More For Pets; Sponsored by PURINA",  however PURINA MAKES CAT FOOD with GRAIN and PROFITS OFF OF UNHEALTHY CAT FOOD,  which actually can CAUSE Feline Type II Diabetes.   I also started a discussion on that page and am curious to see if PURINA.INC leaves it up there.

  • Up Close and Personal With Bernadette Peters!

I'm usually pretty calm, collected and not star struck when around celebrities.  It has happened several times before and I have met several people and actually know someone who has an Emmy but I'm no name dropper.

However,  I LOVES ME SOME BERNADETTE PETERS!!!

I had second row orchestra seats last night and we made eye contact and I caught a vibe...

    I think she likes me.

THEN I met her and her dogs as I was the Stage Door Johnny waiting out back for them to emerge.

Elaine Stritch did not come out,  she left through the hidden door... Just as well,  she needs her rest.

This was by far the BESTEST Broadway show I have EVER SEEN!!! It is my FIRST time seeing Bernadette live and I was overjoyed to meet her as well.

I also met her dogs, and if you are looking for a nice doggy she has a great Pup named MOLLY that you can adopt if you go here:

Bernadette Peters - The Official Website for Bernadette Peters .

I tell you, I was a bit nervous going into this play,  A Little Night Music is 3 hours long.  I was worried I would be bored and have a sore back and be going stir crazy by the time it ended BUT I did NOT notice the time...

I tell you I was absolutely ENCHANTED the whole way through.  Everyone was FANTASTIC...

I got autographs from the cast,  except Stritch,  and,   as I tend to be vibrationally lucky and find my self in the environs of people like Woody Allen and Diane Keaton,  and I think once they realize that I am not going to attack the or go ape over them they tend to seem to like me.

The only person I have really scared is Rosanna Scotto and that is because I rushed her in an elevator in SAKS when I first moved here,  we rode down 5 flights with her pressed against the corner and me telling her how much I admired her.    Then I realized that celebrities,  some have huge egos,  but often they really want to be treated like regular people and they don't want to be their character when they aren't working.

I like this too.  I like them as normal people...

THEN,  I happened to spy HUNTER RYAN,  from the play too this afternoon on the subway and so we rode home together and we are neighbors.  He is so cute and his voice is wonderful...

    I feel so old...

    Hunter Ryan Herdlicka

I'm not so star struck...  But it is nice to meet people that I have seen for years or on television and to discover that they are regular people.  Bernadette is quite petite and I have a gay man crush on her but I'm wondering if I am going straight?  I am in love with Bernadette Peters...

...I'd take Hunter Ryan too.... or even the other male lead,  actually both or either of the other two male leads...

I guess I am star struck...  but it has only happened with Bernadette, Hunter Ryan and Patti Smith....

oh... I met Alan Ginsberg and got a signed copy ( an OLD original copy of HOWL) signed by him just before he died...  that was a bit intimidating because he was,  at that point,  old and scary....

I love New York,  people are people and stars don't feel threatened.   New Yorkers are either too cool to give anybody else any higher standing than themselves... or just so exposed to the center of everything that nothing seems to phase anybody...  Even a celebrity sitting next to you on the subway...

...Come to think about,  I think I scared Jean Smart too,  cuz after I stared at her a couple of times she stopped taking the 6 train when I did...

Matthew Brodrick was not threatened by me.... Hey,  I have actually met more people here than I can even remember..

It has to be kismet because it just happens...

The play was FANTASTIC,  you better see it before Bernadette leaves the show and Elaine Stritch dies...

Elaine stitch was a goddess... that is all I can say,    Bernadette and Hunter are angels.

Next week I am going to see Promises Promises and I have TIX for The Lion King in November!!

    Woo Hoo!

  • It is an Early Morning

It is and has been wet and colder than it should be at this time of year.

It is going to warm back up to 90,  so they say... They've been wrong before.

Gosh, I can't wait until this weekend,  3 solid days and I can clean up my personal space which is strewn about with dirty AND clean clothes of every season.

It is the seasonal shift... I probably already lamented about the dust and lack of space....

It is an early day.  Luckily The Patty Duke Show is on at 6:00 am so I can generally make it on time.  I was early last week.  Each day I start work at a different time and generally end at a different time,  this 12 week session it alternates every other day.  I hate it.

Some people are early workers, some people are late workers,  some are more reluctant than others, or, conversely, more willing to come early or stay...

There have been many ways of dealing with this with including financial rewards,   favors,  priority,  seniority,  and I must say good people skills on the part of all concerned who must follow a fluxuating and constantly shifting schedule.

Anyhow... I had no  point... just bla bla bla....   Today is Thursday OH

I am going to see A Little Night Music on Broadway with Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch!!!

This may actually be my FIRST Broadway Classic and my FIRST Broadway DIVA..

Bernadette is one of the Queens of Broadway!

I know you are but what I am!  Don't say it!..
